Hello and Welcome to RND Academy of Dance.

Razzle N Dazzle Academy of Dance (more commonly called RND Academy of Dance) is a dance school based in Redditch. The school first opened it's doors on 31st January 2009, and since then it has gone from strength to strength. The school has gradually grown in size and currently has approximately 65 pupils who regularly attend weekly classes every Friday evening and Saturday morning.
Classes are held at St John the Evangelists Church Hall in Greenlands on Friday evenings 4.30-6pm and Saturday mornings 9am-1.30pm (please see class times for further details) and are for children aged three to eighteen, of all abilities.
RND is committed to providing young people with the opportunity to experience dance in its various forms and part of this commitment is ensuring that this is affordable for all. Classes are priced just £2.50 per session and while opportunities such as productions and examinations are offered, they are by no means compulsory. Where they are offered RND again ensures that this is of as little expense as possible to parents/guardians.
RND operates lessons during term time only (please see term dates for more information), however there are opportunities to get involved in holiday clubs such as summer schools.
Classes offered at RND:
Classes are currently offered in the following disciplines:
BALLET: is a poised style of dance that incorporates the foundational techniques of many other dance forms, it is great for developing posture, alignment, strength and flexibility. At RND we follow the IDTA syllabus giving pupils the opportunity to obtain widely accepted qualifications. We offer classes for all age ranges and abilities (please see class timetable or contact us for more information)
TAP: believed to have begun in the mid-1800s, this lively form of dance allows pupils to experiment with rhythms. Tap dancing allows pupils to develop both musicality and performance skills. At RND we follow the IDTA syllabus for tap dancing, again providing pupils with the opportunity to accrue widely accepted qualifications within the field of dance. We offer classes for all age ranges and abilities (please see class timetable or contact us for more details)
FREESTYLE: this is an umbrella term used to describe dance styles that evolved outside of the dance studios. While freestyle dance can be random and personal, freestyle dances generally evolve out of urban suburbs and form within differing cultures. At RND we try to give pupils a range of experiences from a young age, where the focus is simply movement to music; right through to our senior classes where we experiment with a range of styles and dance concepts. Pupils are also given the opportunity to obtain accreditation for their work in this style through IDTA examinations.
